Pastoral care is an essential element in successful achievement and is an important part of the Kāpiti College way.
Form teachers are the first port of call for pastoral needs.
In Year 9 there are two Deans, John Brunton and Kate Jensen and in Year 10 Abby Craig is the Dean. Assistant Principal Tracey Stockton is responsible for the Junior School as a whole.
The Dean for Year 11 is Tom Collin with Deputy Principal Andy Pook responsible for the year level.
The Dean for Year 12 is Kate Hainsworth with Assisstant Principal Louise Berry responsible for the year level.
The Dean for Year 13 is Tim Seymour. Louise Berry is also responsible for Year 13.
Guidance Counsellors provide a generally confidential service to students, though parents are also welcome to contact them for advice.
