We are seeking an enthusiastic, collaborative teacher to join our Social Sciences faculty. This position is predominantly focused on social sciences, teaching across Years 9–13 . The ability to teach senior psychology is considered advantageous. As part of this role, you will also be required to teach 4 lessons of another subject area; please state your supporting subjects and areas of curriculum strength in your application.

We are looking for a teacher who brings strong subject knowledge, creativity, and enthusiasm to the classroom, alongside the flexibility to deliver an additional curriculum area. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to relational teaching, high expectations for all learners, and a genuine dedication to pastoral care and student wellbeing.

The role

You will teach engaging English lessons with a focus on delivering excellent outcomes for senior students. A specialism in senior English, particularly NCEA Level, is highly desirable. Working within a supportive, well-resourced department, you will inspire students to develop a genuine love of literature, strengthen their critical thinking, writing, and communication skills, and achieve their personal best in English. You will create inclusive, student-centred learning that promotes excellence and achievement while honouring our commitment to culturally responsive teaching and our Parihaka values.
