The Role
In this position, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the college’s communication strategy, particularly across social media platforms. You will craft engaging content that highlights our students' successes, oversee the school website, and curate regular newsletters.
Additionally, you will spearhead the planning and execution of significant school events, including prize-givings, graduations, community gatherings, and cultural evenings.

In this position, you will oversee the entire payroll cycle for all staff, manage leave and relief processing via Kamar, and handle all necessary pay adjustments and terminations. You will ensure strict adherence to New Zealand payroll laws while offering confidential assistance for staff inquiries regarding pay and leave. Additionally, your duties will include supporting accounts payable and receivable with the Finance Officer.
Key Requirements:
● Demonstrated experience in payroll administration (background in the public or
education sectors is advantageous).
● Comprehensive understanding of NZ payroll legislation, specifically the Holidays Act
2003.
● Commitment to integrity, high accuracy, and discretion when handling sensitive data.
● Competence with payroll software and Google Workspace applications.
● Excellent communication and organisational capabilities.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable, processing bank transactions and reconciliations, and handling student income via the student management system. You will also prepare financial data for reporting and provide essential backup support for payroll functions.
The successful candidate will possess:
● Demonstrated experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
● An understanding of the workings of a General Ledger
● Proficiency in using Xero, Excel, and various accounting software.
● Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organisational abilities.
● A relevant accounting qualification (NZ Diploma in Business (Accounting) or equivalent
preferred).
● Outstanding communication skills and the ability to work effectively under deadlines.
